‘Stunning’ – said the judges
We are over the moon to have won a two star Gold for our Toasted Fennel & Chilli sausages at this year’s Great Taste Awards in the UK – the Oscars for food producers! This is only our second time to enter the Awards having scooped a three star Gold for our Roast Garlic in Red Wine in our very first year. The Awards attract over 10,000 entries and this year were judged by food writer and critic Charles Campion and food buyers from Harrods, Selfridges and Harvey Nichols. Here are some of their comments:
- an excellently made exciting sausage
- firm, meaty, with a background hint of chilli
- very Italian, very subtle
- we are already thinking of ways to cook them
